The Casa installation consists of two large sandstone blocks,  each with individullay designs: one having a slight Art Deco feel, the other with more of an eroded riverbed theme. The water arrives into a carved bowl and overflows through the design, exiting through a vortex. There is a contrast of movement at the beginning and stillness at the end. Both connected by a carved riverbed covered by toughened glass, all of which is illuminated at night.

For this piece the depth of the stone inspired me to create a dramatic fall producing another aspect of water movement. An energetic beginning, accelerating down a curved smooth surface to a lower worked depression, dissappearing through a vortex in the middle. Possibly introduction of lighting would enhance or add a whole different dimension at night.
